Starvendors Merdeka Penang Foodstival 2024

Merdeka Parade
– Event Date: 31/8/2024
– Venue: Padang Kota Lama, Georgetown, Pulau Pinang
For our art enthusiasts, there will be an art exhibition happening in memory of Lee Long Looi, a Malaysian who graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. He is known as an Asian artist who bridge the Eastern tradition of painting, together with the Western Art Movement.
The exhibition is happening from:
– Date: 5/9/2024 – 19/9/2024 (closes on Friday and Public Holiday)
– Time: 9 am – 5 pm
– Venue: Penang State Art Gallery
The Yosakai parade is a parade featuring 26 Yosakai dance teams from Japan, Costa Rica, Singapore and various different states of Malaysia; Johor, Putrajaya, Kedah, Perak, Perlis, Melaka and Penang.
This exciting event is to showcase performances of “Shin Sakura Ondo”, “Hawaii Ondo”, “Pompoko Ondo”, “Penang Sakura Ondo”, and a special performance of “Hokkaido Obi Mai” by the dance group from Hokkaido.
Food, games and Japanese cultural booths will be available at the event for everyone to enjoy! Do join to celebrate the diversity and creativity the event has to offer!
