Selection Framework
Scholarship selection is conducted through a structured two-stage assessment process, ensuring both academic merit and professional readiness are fairly evaluated.
Minimum competency thresholds apply for each scholarship tier. Final scholarship awards are determined based on performance across both academic and interview assessments.
Two-Stage Assessment Process
Applicants are first assessed based on academic performance.
Defined CGPA bands are used to determine a candidate’s potential scholarship tier (High Distinction, Merit, or Performance).
Candidates who meet the academic eligibility criteria are required to attend a mandatory structured interview.
During the interview, applicants are assessed on professional competencies aligned with medical training, including:
- Communication skills
- Professionalism and ethical awareness
- Motivation and commitment to medicine
- Personal attributes relevant to clinical practice

Scholarship Disbursement
The scholarship value is distributed equally across the duration of the programme, corresponding to:
Continuation of the scholarship is subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress and meeting ongoing programme and scholarship requirements.
